Kirsty and Tristan's Aravina Estate Wedding

Kirsty and Tristan choose to have their Best Day Ever at the stunning Aravina Estate, with lots of friends and family over from the UK. Their wedding was such a celebration of love and fun! They couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces and neither could we!

Melissa & Jarrad's Black Brewing Co Wedding

Melissa and Jarrad both have a great sense of humour. As a little wedding gift to Jarrad, Melissa got her face printed on his wedding jocks! Not to be outdone, Jarrad wrote a note to Melissa on the inside lid of her shoe box and enclosed a stunning polaroid of himself ;)

Needless to say after starting out the day this way their wedding day was full of laughter! The speeches bought the house down and there was shapes being cut all over the dance-floor!

Danelle & Brenton's Aravina Estate Wedding, Margaret River

Brenton and Danelle met in primary school, but it wasn't until a bad seating plan at high school where they were thrown together in class that Brenton's charm won Danelle over, and the rest they say, is history. This pair were made for each other. Eleven years together and still looking at each other like the everlasting light in each others lives.

Their wedding was an elegant classic, and we had fun with the bridal party who just enjoyed each other's company all day. The guys in the crew were such gentlemen they even helped me off a post when I decided I needed to climb it for a shot! ;-)

Danelle looked absolutely stunning in her custom made Raffinato Bridal dress, which had beautiful lace detailing on the bodice, and Brenton scrubbed up perfectly in his classy suit.

The pair DIYed their reception styling with inspiration from Pinterest...and a beautiful venue like Aravina Estate doesn't need much work anyway...so it all came together beautifully!

Teagan & Stephen's Black Brewing Co. Wedding, Margaret River

The first word that springs to mind when I think about Teagan and Stephen's wedding is fun. This pair were so laid back and happy, and their friends too, that we just had a fantastic day full of silliness, laughter and, well, fun!

We were loving the colours of the day, the burgundy and greenery just looked amazing and the styling was beautiful. We also loved Teagan's cape - stunning!

Theirs was one of the best receptions we've been to ever, everyone was up on the dance floor just having a great time and celebrating the occasion, without a care in the world.

Congratulations to the happy couple, what a great day!

Lisa & Sam's pearl river houses Wedding margaret river

Lisa & Sam's Margaret River wedding was a lovely relaxed day with family and friends. With everything in one place, they could get ready while they watched the ceremony and marquee take shape, and just enjoy the beautiful day.

When your grandad owns a retired racehorse it would be rude to not include him in the celebration too, so Lisa rode in on horseback much to all the guests delight, and we of course took a little time out for some photos with Tommy too.

After they said their I Do's we made our way to the beach for photos with the Kombi Van that the pair had been so excited about, and had a great afternoon with them and their friends before heading back to Pearl River Houses to watch an impressive first dance and listen to some gorgeous speeches, before leaving everyone to party the night away.

Leah & Dimitry's Aravina Estate Wedding Margaret River

Leah and Dimitriy's wedding was an elegant day, starting off with preparations for the girls at the gorgeous Yallingup Luxury Retreat.  It has been a little while since we'd photographed a church ceremony, but St Thomas More Margaret River was the perfect backdrop for this lovely couple.

After the formals were done we took a drive up to Canal Rocks and I was super impressed with Leah and Dimitriy's total willingness to climb rocks and clamber around to make the most of the beautiful landscape and get "the shot". It's not always easy in a wedding dress but we love adventurous couples and it's always worth doing something a little different!

It was fun hanging out with a smaller group, with Leah's sister and Dimitiry's brother making up the bridal party...just a cruisy afternoon spending time with people who were totally relaxed and at ease in each other's (and my) company :-)

The reception was at Aravina Estate, where we shoot regularly and completely love, so we had some fun in the vines and paddocks before heading in to party the night away. Of course our photobooth was looking completely amazing too and definitely helped add to the fun!

Congratulations Leah and Dimitriy, we wish you a lifetime of happiness in each other's arms.

Crystal & Michael ~ An Eight Willows Retreat Wedding Margaret River

We knew Crystal and Michael's wedding was going to be a fun day when they told us they were having ten in their bridal party, including some faces we'd find familiar (from Tabitha and Lance's Pemberton wedding a few years ago). Eight Willows Retreat provided a beautiful setting with the ceremony in the bush chapel and photo opportunities galore around the grounds and at the vineyard next door. The day certainly didn't disappoint, the sun shone, the group enjoyed plenty of giggles, and the guests all had a great time. Who could ask for anything more?!

Sam & Peter ~ Aravina Estate Wedding Margaret River

Sam & Pete's Big Day lived up to all expectations and was a beautifully soft, romantic, and fun day.

One of the highlights of the day for us was capturing the ladies getting ready at Smith's Beach Resort, where Sam revealed her designer Ae'lkemi dress to her bridesmaids for the first time. Sam decided that because her favourite part of a wedding is seeing the bride, she wanted it to be a surprise kept for the Big Day, and it really was a lovely moment when everyone saw her in it!

Of course the special day had so many other amazing moments as well as a lot of laughter (especially when there were a few little name blunders during the ceremony ;-)), and Sam & Pete's Bridal Party proved that even strangers can behave like old friends and helped make the occasion a great day that we were honoured to be invited to be part of.

Thank you all for making the day so much fun, now we'll leave it to our photos to tell the rest of the story. Enjoy the memories!

Xx

Imogen & Paul ~ A Chandelier's on Abbey Wedding, Margaret River

We love it when couples celebrate their personalities in the styling of their Big Day. From the Harry Potter books in wooden crates to the fireman helmet nestled on top, Imogen and Paul added so many gorgeous little touches to make their wedding uniquely "them". We especially loved the cute figurines on the wedding cake and the choice of cars... Paul loves old classics, Imogen loves Kombis, so instead of one winning out over the other, they just had both. Down South Luxury Limo's chevy and Kape Kombi's van were a pretty unusual pair, but they looked cute together and we just loved what it said about our gorgeous couple, celebrating their differences...after all isn't that what a happy life together is all about?!

Chandelier's on Abbey provided a beautiful backdrop for the day, it looked amazing and Carleton couldn't have been any more helpful in making sure everything was perfect. We wouldn't have needed to go anywhere else all day, but being in Margaret River Imogen and Paul asked for some photos in the vines, so the team at Windows Estate very generously let us pop down the road to spend a little time there before the party back at Chandelier's, which finished off the day perfectly.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Roberts, thank you for choosing us to capture your special day. We left feeling very lucky to have such lovely people as our clients :-)

Michelle and Jason's Laurance Wines Top Hat & Tails Affair

A little bit of English Gentry…A little bit of Aussie laid back style…a dash of sunshine, a kiss of warmth in the air…the perfect combination for the wedding of Michelle and Jason.

English Boy Jason met Aussie Girl Michelle and they fell in love….And then they chose the gorgeous Laurance Wines for their very special day.

The glorious rose gardens were the perfect backdrop for the stylish top hats and tails worn by the boys. A special part of the ceremony saw Michelle and Jason attach a ‘Love Lock” to Love Chain next to the winery lake, a really special way to ensure their day is remembered by everyone forever.

After the ceremony the Bridal Party, Clare and Carly popped next door to the private Barn for some refreshment and photo time! A frolic in the vines, and giggle on the veranda, and then off to Smiths Beach aboard a fabulous Double Decker Bus. You don't get much more English than that!

The reception room looked beyond stunning, beautifully decorated by the amazing Wez Enterprises, who always do a spectacular job. Michelle and Jason entered to the sound of a bugle horn – very regal!

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Jennings, we wish you many years of joy and happiness!

Sophie and Jesse's Laid Back Cheeky Monkey Brewery Wedding

To say we had been looking forward to this special wedding is an understatement. The gorgeous Sophie is a member of our local BNI chapter, so we get to hang out every Thursday morning and I’ve been hearing about the exciting plans for this wedding every week for over a year now. The weather may not have been kind to Sophie and Jesse, but that didn’t dampen the spirits of anyone. The heartfelt ceremony was held on the banks of the Cheeky Monkey Dam, overlooking the gorgeous buildings and vineyards at the brewery. A fine mist of rain fell throughout the ceremony, which made the vows all the more special and intimate.

We waited a short time for the skies to clear, while everyone congratulated the happy couple. Bridal party portraits were held close by, and showcased the gorgeous property where the wedding was held. The clouds made for some dramatic imagery!

We were booked in for our Party Package, so got to spend even more time hanging out and enjoying the reception. Our PhotoSpot was set up and captured some very crazy antics during the evening! Self-described “photo whores’ we were busy all night!

The speeches made everyone a little teary, both with emotion and raucous laughter, and the first dance was glorious. Cake and more champagne followed into the night.

I am so grateful to have shared this beautiful day with these two such fabulous people. It was so much fun, and so beautiful. We wish you many years of joy and happiness to come. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Oldfield!

Margaret River Wedding ~ Samantha & Richard

margaret-river-wedding-photographer.jpg

We had been looking forward to Samantha and Richards wedding for MONTHS!! It was a big lead up...

Sam entered our Fabulous Fusion Love Story competition back at the start of 2013 and won with her gorgeous tale of how the two of them met and fell in love. From there we produced their Fusion Love Story, and they had so much fun they booked us for their wedding too!

Fast Forward a year to 2nd March 2014, and we finally got to share their special day at Leeuwin Estate, Margaret River with their family and friends, and gorgeous bridal party.

The bridal Party portraits were held at Prevelly Beach rivermouth and the Vineyard. We produced our very first wedding fusion film for their special day so we had the whole gang at this wedding - Clare, Jo and John! It may have looked a little  like they had paparazzi after them but everyone had a great time, and we promise to show off their awesome film very soon!
