Last week we set up our mobile studio at Dardanup Vet for the first time for the next in our series of Pop Up Pet Portraits. We were super excited to have the Dardanup team come on board to help us with these fundraisers, and it was a great space to work in. If you haven't been out there you should check it out - nice big consult rooms, friendly vet and lovely nurses.

It was another sold out day and we photographed 16 dogs, 2 cats, 2 rabbits and even a handful of humans ;-)

There were a few challenges as always but we had fun getting the best out of all the awesome pets. Our cat visitors generally ignored us and wandered around the room, but we had a wooden crate on hand which interested them enough to get them where we wanted them for a few minutes! One of our puppy pairs didn't want to sit near each other (or anywhere near anyone really) but we got a couple of retro chairs from the waiting room and they were happy to sit on those, giving us a hilarious image of them looking like they were waiting to see the vet. One timid puppy dog didn't like the flash so we turned it off and used our backup gear which little Scout was much happier with, and while we had some perfectly behaved companions lots of others generally just did their thing and pulled every trick we had out to get what we needed. Just another day of pet portraits really - we finished off the day thoroughly exhausted but completely happy.

Here's a few of our favourites from the day, give yourselves five minutes off from life and take a look!

If you'd like us to capture some beautiful memories of your beloved pet simply check out our Pet Portrait Page for details. If we don't have our next Pop Up Day advertised yet you can leave us your details and we'll let you know as soon as we announce the next one. And of course you can book in with us at the studio any time too!

Danelle & Brenton's Aravina Estate Wedding, Margaret River

Brenton and Danelle met in primary school, but it wasn't until a bad seating plan at high school where they were thrown together in class that Brenton's charm won Danelle over, and the rest they say, is history. This pair were made for each other. Eleven years together and still looking at each other like the everlasting light in each others lives.

Their wedding was an elegant classic, and we had fun with the bridal party who just enjoyed each other's company all day. The guys in the crew were such gentlemen they even helped me off a post when I decided I needed to climb it for a shot! ;-)

Danelle looked absolutely stunning in her custom made Raffinato Bridal dress, which had beautiful lace detailing on the bodice, and Brenton scrubbed up perfectly in his classy suit.

The pair DIYed their reception styling with inspiration from Pinterest...and a beautiful venue like Aravina Estate doesn't need much work anyway...so it all came together beautifully!
