Chloe and Dave's Roelands Wedding
Chloe and David treated their guests to a relaxed wedding on their Roelands property. They D-I-Y ed all the styling themselves, including the signage and their resin bar. Dave even made their awesome LOVE sign as a surprise for Chloe one weekend!
Their much loved fur-baby Rexy was involved in their special day too, even being included in their vows! We all had a bit of a giggle when it was read that Rexy was always by their side…only to be nowhere in sight! The ceremony was quickly paused while Rexy was rustled up, and then proudly strolled down the isle!
After the ceremony we headed to a local reserve to take their bridal party portraits before heading back to their house for their gorgeous reception.

Courtney & Phil's Donnybrook Garden Wedding
Courtney & Phil were lucky enough to live just next door to their stunning garden ceremony venue, Fern Bank Gardens in Donnybrook. Their special day was filled with love and laughter which continued on into the wee hours of the night with some hilarious games and dancing at the Sanctuary Golf Resort.
Phil had a special request that we take a photo of his brand new wife and his beloved tractor ;) We love our brides like Courtney who was brave enough to climb onto a hay bale and into a small tinny in her beautiful dress!

Denise and Alex's Sanctuary Golf Resort Wedding
It’s not very often you get the bride’s dad pausing proceedings at a wedding ceremony to let everyone know the Eagles had won the grand final. His big announcement was followed by a round of applause led by the priest, Denise laughed, and then the formalities continued. Stories to remember.

Katie & Kurt's Bunbury Winter Wedding
How lucky we've been this winter to have been blessed with some pretty great weather on our wedding days. In June we spent a lovely afternoon with Katie & Kurt, who had a simple ceremony at The Lighthouse Resort before and then took a little time out to make some memories before they celebrated their marriage with friends and family at Maker + Co.
Thanks for sharing your special day with us, it was a pleasure getting to know you both!

Tegan & Michael's Relaxed Bunbury Wedding
Tegan and Micheal's wedding involved a lot of tears and laughter.
Watching Micheal's emotional reaction to Tegan walking down the aisle had all their guests wiping happy tears.
On the location shoot the bridal party was spontaneous bursting into fits of laughter :)
We loved Tegan's boho wedding style. Her beautiful dress matched her natural makeup and gorgeous braids perfectly. She opted to wear some stunning pearl high heels but kicked them off as soon as the offical parts of the day were over and spent the rest of the day barefoot!

Libby & Jeff's Big Day ~ Bunbury Wedding Photography
Jeff & Libby did things a little differently from most and planned what we fondly called their "topsy turvy" wedding day. Starting off as a surprise, they had planned the whole wedding before their family and friends even knew they were engaged!
With their ceremony in the evening, right before their reception at Water's Edge Cafe, we started off the day with Libby getting ready at the Mantra Hotel before capturing a First Look (where Jeff got to see Libby in her dress for the first time) in the gardens and then heading out for some romantic bridal portraits at various spots around Bunbury. Of course we found some pretty spots as always, but seeing as Jeff is a train driver the memories wouldn't have been complete without doing something a little different out at Picton trains, and then we rounded out the night with some sparkler fun.
To get a little insight into their special day, watch their amazing wedding film trailer (click Play on the image below) and then check out Libby's story on the Coast to Country Weddings feature here:

Sarah & Jon ~ A Roelands Wedding
Sarah and Jon were blessed with a beautiful sunny spring day at their wedding on saturday, which was a very welcome sight after a long, wet south west winter!
The pair celebrated their wedding at Sarah's parents new home in Roelands, with Jon and the boys getting ready in one side while Sarah and the girls were in the other. After the wet weather saw the end of the plan to have the ceremony at the local park (thanks to rather a lot of mud!) it was moved to the backyard, which turned out to be a lovely spot for it with the natural bush and river in the background.
It was an early start for us, arriving at 10am to capture all the preparations before the 1pm ceremony, but luckily the trees along the river at the house and in the park provided plenty of shade from the bright midday sun.
Proof that you don't have to spend big to have a lovely wedding, Sarah DIY'd the styling for the day taking inspiration from google and instagram, and the rustic browns, whites and plum purples looked lovely in the garden setting and against the boys' grey suits. The bouquets created by Eaton's Fresh Floral Studio also suited the style perfectly, as did the cake that Sarah's cousin made. Sarah looked like a princess in her Tuscany Bridal dress (which she managed to pick up second hand on Gumtree!), and Gemma Collins and Tianna Oakley finished off her look perfectly with stunning hair and makeup.
When Sarah enquired about her wedding we bonded over dogs, and as we got to know each other in the months leading up to the wedding we discovered just how important a part of her life they are. How perfect then that she and Jon could get married in a spot where the dogs could be part of the day too!
Filming the day as well as covering the photography, we got to learn a lot about the pair and for the first time I discovered the meaning of "swipe right" - and guess what - it can end in marriage!
After a lovely ceremony and photos at the park, Sarah and Jon impressed their family and friends with a choreographed first dance before everyone enjoyed a yummy buffet and drinks under a marquee in the garden. A perfectly simple and lovely way to start their new life together.
Congratulations Sarah & Jon, just keep doing what you do because according to all your friends - it works! :-)

Caitlin & Kyle's Ferguson Farmstay Wedding
If we had to describe Caitlin and Kyle, romantic and gorgeous would be the words that spring to mind, and their wedding day was just that, a true reflection of them!
Everything about Caitlin and Kyle's wedding was effortlessly perfect. They were graced with clear blue skies, coupled with one happy laid back groom and his stunning serene bride, who was the epitome of beauty in her gorgeous fitted wedding gown, it's still one of our very favourites. Caitlin's "rose" hair looked amazing too, definitely an outstanding effort by Hair By Me-Steph B!
They had a traditional marriage ceremony at Christ the Living Vine Church in Australind, followed by the reception at Ferguson Farmstay. With it's stunning vista views it made the perfect backdrop to a truly beautiful day that we were touched to be a part of.
Everything from the speeches to the bridal waltz (which you two made look completely effortless by the way!) were just fabulous and brought tears to our eyes.

Top 5 Tips for the Perfect Wedding Photos!
It's your Big Day. You're going to A LOT of trouble to make it completely perfect and you want to remember it that way. That's why your photos are SO important!
We have spent years photographing weddings just about every weekend, and we know a thing or two about how to make your day look as amazing as can be, so here are 5 top tips from us to help you plan your day to achieve perfect wedding photos...
1. Think about the light
Photography is all about light and the timings you choose for your Big Day will have a huge impact on how your images will look. Choose appropriate timings for the time of year bearing in mind seasonal weather variations. If you have your heart set on an image of you and your love in front of a romantic sunset then choose to have your wedding at a time of year that allows it, make sure you start your reception late enough, or be prepared to take five from your party to go out and get the shot. While a lunch time event might seem appealing the light in the middle of the day is not so flattering, so be aware that you won't achieve the beautiful golden light that makes you and the landscape look so amazing. If in doubt just ask your photographer - experienced pros like us know the options and will be only too happy to help you plan your day to achieve the look you want.
2. Book a Quality Photographer
There are so many photographers around these days that choosing one to capture your day can be a difficult task. Weddings aren't cheap so we understand it can be tempting to save a few dollars and just get Uncle Bob to take some photos or take a chance on the cheap photographer you found on Facebook, but the old adage "you get what you pay for" definitely applies here, and we have heard too many stories of regret to believe it's ok to just let someone with a fancy camera document your day. If you want to be able to look back on your day in years to come and remember it as the perfect, joyful day that it is bound to be, then choose the best photographer you can afford. Choose a pro who you can trust to have the talent and experience to know the best places to shoot at the right times, who can find your best angles and show off how gorgeous you are in that dress, and who will be fun to spend the day with. That's the only way to guarantee no regrets!
3. Be Good to Yourself
Choose a dress that suits your shape and fits you well, and style your hair and makeup so that you feel comfortable and still look like "you". Take a close friend you can rely on for an honest opinion to the dress shops with you, and don't get hung up on buying a tiny size that you have to spend a year dieting for. If you've worn too many bikini styles while sunbathing over the years, get an all over natural tan before your Big Day to get rid of any unsightly strap marks. If you have any tattoos or markings that you're no longer fond of, choose a dress that covers them up, or if you have ones you're proud of then show them off! On the day just be confident in your own skin and rock your look, your photographer will do the rest!
4. Have an engagement portrait shoot
Engagement Sessions are a great way to practice in front of the camera and get to know your photographer before the Big Day. You can check out the locations you are considering for your wedding photos and just get used to being together as the centre of attention. Having an engagement shoot will mean you feel more relaxed on the day and be more familiar with your photographer so that it feels more like a friend is there with you who you know will capture great images for you. If, like we do, you have a planning meeting with your photographer before the wedding you can let them know what you loved or what you weren't so fond of in the shoot. That way your photographer can make sure everything is perfect on your Big Day.
5. Allow enough time
Plan with your photographer and let them know what you want to capture on your day. A good pro will know what is realistic and plan with you to make the most of your day. We know that it can seem like there is always plenty of time for photos, but with years of shooting weddings under our belt we know that things on a wedding day often take longer than you think they will, and the last thing you want to be doing on your day is stressing about not being able to fit everything you wanted in. Your wedding day is a celebration and you should enjoy every moment of it, so spend the time with your photographer beforehand to make a plan, and then just relax and let them do their job on the day.
